The Situation:
A growing supermarket chain required grease interceptors for a new location opening in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The interceptors needed a durable interior coating capable of withstanding acidic conditions with a pH level as low as 3.
The Solution:
To meet these performance requirements, ConSeal’s engineering team recommended CS-1800 Solvent Free, Waterproofing Membrane for its chemical resistance performance, including testing in accordance with ASTM C1898 – Chemical Resistance of Concrete Products to Acid Attack. Prior to installation, at the manufacturing facility, the interior of the tanks were primed with CS-85 and coated with CS-1800 to ensure long-term protection and durability. For a watertight seal at the tank lid CS-102 Butyl Rubber Sealant was used.
