Residential Housing – Permanent Entry

Location:

United States, Michigan

Precaster:

Milan Vault Inc.

The Situation:

During the construction of a residential house, a permanent entry to the basement was installed to the foundation. The precast concrete steps needed to be sealed with watertight joints to keep the foundation from failing due to water damage.

The Solution:

CS-102 provided watertight seals for all the joints around the entryway and the foundation of the house. ConSeal was used as a caulking around high-risk areas of the entryway to provide extra protection. CS-1500 was then used to seal the joints of the metal on the upper part of the entryway. CS-1500 was applied on metal-to-metal joints and on metal-to-concrete joints.
