Sanitary Sewage Line Lift Station

Location:

United States, Troy, Ohio

Precaster:

Hanson Pipe and Precast

The Situation:

While installing a lift station for a sanitary sewage line, the Miami County Sanitary Engineers encountered a trench with a high water table. To keep the lift station watertight, they needed a quality product that could work well in wet conditions and bond under water. Due to the high water table, they also needed a quality waterstop to prevent water from entering their new lift station.

The Solution:

ConSeal products were used to combat the wet conditions of the high water table and ensure that the joints were sealed correctly. Hydrophilic CS-231 was used for waterstop to seal the lift station wall joints at the floor. CS-102 was used along the lift station walls and between each section. For extra sealing, concrete joints were primed with CS-50 and wrapped with CS-212. To provide better underwater bonding along the base, CS-300 primer was used.
