ABOUT US

It started simply enough, by replacing hot melt tar with butyl rubber sealants in concrete burial vaults. It was a better sealant and safer for the customer, too. This focus on service and innovation continues to define ConSeal as a company today.

Since ConSeal’s founding in 1970, we’ve proudly served concrete producers and end-users with a full line of top-quality products. Today, ConSeal manufactures sealants, extruded sealing tapes, primers, wraps, waterstops, coatings, mastics, hot-melts, lubricants, densifying coatings, and antimicrobial admixtures. ConSeal products are used to assemble and seal precast concrete pipes, manholes, box culverts, septic tanks, burial vaults, structures, buildings, and components of all types. Additionally, ConSeal products are used with poured-in-place construction joints, concrete bridge spans and decking, roadway surfaces, and more. ConSeal toll manufactures products for HVAC, electrical, petroleum pipe, and other applications.

It's never about us, it's always about serving others

Concrete Sealants, Inc. was founded on the principle of serving others. Our founder, Bob Haman Sr., often repeated the credo, “Who do we work for? The customer!” Serving the customer is not where Bob’s service stopped. His service extended to his employees as well, fostering a safe workplace and creating an environment where management listens to the ideas of every employee.

Mr. Haman was ahead of his time establishing a lean manufacturing culture within his company by encouraging internal growth and continual improvement of the manufacturing process. He mentored and trained a staff that, in turn, adopted his credo as their own. This investment in others is a perfect example of the service-minded life Mr. Haman lived. He passed this quality on to his family, who owns and operates ConSeal by following that same principle and living Bob’s words.

ConSeal maintains a commitment to sustainable products and lean manufacturing processes.

ConSeal leads the sealants industry in product innovation and design.
