The Situation:
In the construction of a railroad line, the design required a watertight pedestrian underpass. Therefore, the box culverts that were used to construct this pedestrian underpass required a sealant that could meet the project specifications.
The Solution:
To provide a watertight seal between box culverts, CS-102 butyl sealant was used. 24” wide ConWrap CS-212 was used to prevent water and soil going into the joint. In addition, 48” wide ConWrap CS-212 was used to provide corrosion resistance and added waterproofing to help insure a watertight pedestrian underpass to meet the project specifications.
Sealant Application:
- Box Culverts
