The Situation:
Due to an August 1, 2007 bridge collapse, the I-35W highway in Minneapolis, Minnesota needed replacement. The replacement project design incorporated a watertight pedestrian underpass under the new bridge, requiring sealing products of the highest watertight integrity.
The Solution:
ConSeal products were used to provide this required watertight seal. CS-102 was used to seal the interior section of the joints and CS-212 was used to wrap the exterior of the joints along with CS-75, a water based primer used to ensure a secure seal.
Sealant Application: Box Culvert
ConSeal Products Used: CS-75, CS-102, CS-212
Applicable Industry Standards: ASTM C-990, ASTM 877 Type III
