CS-98 High-Build Ultra-Performance Epoxy Coating

Two-part, high-build, primerless, 100% solids, solvent-free epoxy coating for concrete and metal. Produces a thick durable polymer film that protects the surface from penetration when exposed to gasoline, oil, hydrocarbons, bases, acids, and many other chemicals. High-build formula allows for excellent coverage and protection over irregular shapes.

PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES

ADHESION TO BRUSHED STEEL (ASTM D4541): 1,900 psi
ADHESIVE STRENGTH (ASTM C882): 7,382 psi
ADHESION STRENGTH (ASTM D7234): Substrate Failure
ABRASION RESISTANCE (ASTM D4060): 7.3mg loss (1 kg – 1000 cycle CS-17 wheel)
FLEXURAL STRENGTH (ASTM D790): 17,000 psi
SALT FOG EXPOSURE (ASTM B117): No rusting after 2000 hours
CLEAN UP: MEK, Acetone
MOISTURE / HUMIDITY: Concrete must have a surface moisture reading of less than 5%
POT LIFE: 30 minutes @77ºF, 1 Hour @ 40ºF
CURE TIME: Tack free time: 4 Hours @72°F. In service: 24 hours minimum. Can be applied by brush or 3/16″ nap roller. To apply additional coat, after coat has cured, abrade the surface with medium grit and another layer can be applied. Higher temperatures will reduce the open time of the mixed coating. Cure time will decrease at higher temperatures. Will not cure at exceedingly low temperatures.
COVERAGE PER GALLON: 50 SF/Gal (30-mil dry)
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Mix each part separately. Add Part A into Part B and mix well. For proper performance, CS-98 must be mechanically mixed using a powered drill and paddle mixer. Hand mixing will not properly blend the components and is not recommended. For applications requiring less than one gallon, consult Concrete Sealants technical staff for appropriate instructions.
RECOMMENDED FILM THICKNESS: 30-mil wet. Apply liberally; no shrinkage upon cure.
PRODUCT STORAGE: 68°F to 104°F (20ºC to 40ºC)

DO NOT SUBJECT CS-98 TO FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
